The Arran Lamb Company was formed by myself, Iain Anderson with the purpose of re-opening the local abattoir at Blackwaterfoot.
I have had in excess of 30 years in the meat trade and knew that the abattoir was sorely missed while closed.
I have now had it licenced as abattoir and cutting plant which means the complete operation of slaughter and butchering of the carcases can now be carried out on this site.
The day of operation of the abattoir is a Tuesday, and the Cutting Plant operates mainly on a Saturday.
